About Us
Your Child Is in Great Hands
Philosophy
Denisa Child Care Centre follows a play based learning program model that applies the following curriculums - How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH), Early Learning Framework (ELF), Ontario’s Pedagogy for Early Years and Ministry of Education’s Policy Statement on Programming and pedagogy made under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.
Our programs facilitate social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical skill development. We value family culture and see them as the most important influence in a child’s growth and development. We provide respect, openness and inclusive child care that reflects a belief that children belong together as a group with appreciative support.
Nutrition
We understand that food is more than just something you eat. Young children are curious and want to try new foods. Studies show that children who experience a variety of food flavours, textures, and colours when they are young are better eaters and are better nourished. Our role is to ensure that children in our facility receive nutritious meals, learn good eating habits and develop healthy attitudes toward food.
Our menu plan follow Canada's Food Guide and meet all the nutritional requirements set out in the Child Care and Early Years Act. Our menu plan includes a variety of flavourful foods that reflect the diverse cultural makeup of Toronto.
We take this opportunity to shape our children's eating habits to be as healthy as possible because we recognize that good eating habits learned in the early years can last a lifetime.
